What is a Park Model Home?
Originally used as temporary accommodation for seasonal recreation living by individuals, vacationing couples or small families, park models are also used as permanent residences, rentals and guest homes. You see them in the mountains, at the beach, or even used as additional dwelling units (sometimes called a mother-in-law-home) next to a regular house.
Regarding livable space, owning a park model home is akin to having a 400 sq. ft. recreation vehicle, except that the small park home is built much stronger and wider, and will usually be set on the site as a more permanent abode rather than towed back and forth.

Park models can be embellished with log siding and are identified by their covered porches and steeper pitched roof.
